Ministries

Sunday Worship

Two Rivers has a traditional worship experience beginning at 9:30 a.m. offering a time of prayer, reflection and music.

Two Rivers Music Ministry

The Sanctuary Choir plays an integral part in the worship experience. Open to all adult singers, the choir family is a fellowship of those who love to sing and serve. They present a variety of musical styles incorporating the classics, traditional, and contemporary. Rehearsals are Wednesday night from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.

Services are also enriched by performances of our Handbell Choir. This wonderful group performs once a month from September through May. Rehearsals are Wednesday night from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

We also has a Children’s Choir for children from kindergarten through sixth grade. Led by veteran music educator, Tamara Baugh, the Children’s Choir prepares music and leads worship once a month. Rehearsals take place in the Choir Room at 11:15 a.m. following Sunday School.

Sunday School

Sunday School classes are for all ages and give us an opportunity to learn and grow in our faith. Our Sunday School curriculum begins with Bible stories and Christian living precepts for younger children and teenagers. To ensure a safe environment for all children, our church has adopted a child protection policy.  The Adult Sunday School class is comprised of adults of ages. The class uses a variety of resource materials for class topics. Biblically based lessons for life, our church heritage and history and religious aspects of contemporary topics are some of the themes explored. Occasionally outside speakers enrich these classes.

Fellowship

Fellowship Time offers people an opportunity to meet and greet each other. Being a part of our faith community on Sundays at Two Rivers Church is a inspirational experience that gives us the opportunity to support each other while enriching our own personal faith. We welcome all who wish to celebrate Jesus, God’s gift to us in worship throughout the week.

Saturday Lunch Site

In the year 2001, Two Rivers Church rededicated itself as a “servant church.” In June of 2002, the church launched a new meal site to provide free meals to the needy every Saturday at 12:00 p.m. On the last Saturday of each month, Operation Safety Net offers extra assistance with food, personal care items, and clothing.

Prayer Chain

If you want to put a concern on the prayer chain, call Jean Jackson at 787-5359, Nancy Cornish at 788-7928, or Nancy Schwegler at 788-7016. They then alert the remaining members of the chain. Your prayer requests are kept confidential within the prayer chain. If you are interested in learning how you can be part of this powerful and rewarding ministry, please call one of the contacts above or the church office at 788-9384. We’d love to add you to one of our four chains!

Men’s Programs

UMM–The United Methodist Men meet for dinner and a program on the second Tuesday of the month from September through May. Fund raising projects are conducted to support the mission outreach program. As a servant church, the United Methodist Men practice ministry through volunteer projects to the community and world.
