Every Saturday at 12:00 p.m. all members of the community are invited to a free hot lunch. Every week this is a delicious, satisfying meal prepared by loving volunteer crews. After the wonderful meal, people are invited to come and receive more food pantry items, including fresh produce, baked goods, and other perishables often not found at food pantries.
The meal takes place every Saturday at 12:00 p.m. The last Saturday of every month includes “Operation Safety Net” at 11:00 a.m. At this program many other things are given away, including personal hygiene products, household goods, and other essentials.
If you are interested in helping with the Community Meal, call 309-788-9384. Volunteers can help prepare food, serve food, help with the food pantry giveaway, host, or help cleanup.
The next Operation Safety Net programs will be February 29 and March 28.
