“A mighty flood of justice,” is the theme for the 12th annual Community Day celebration at Two Rivers United Methodist Church on Sunday, February 23 at 3:30 p.m.

The Rock Island County NAACP Religious Affairs Committee is hosting this celebration with Rev. Dr. Dwight Ford serving as the keynote speaker. Ford is the pastor of Grace City Church in Rock Island.

Pastor Robb McCoy of Two Rivers United Methodist Church is serving as the host. Grace City Church and Two Rivers Church sit across Fifth Avenue from each other, and have worked together before in prayer and ministry. This event however, is for the entire Quad Cities community.

“This is a wonderful chance for people of faith to come together and declare that what unites us is stronger than what divides us,” said McCoy.

Music will be provided from groups from several different churches. Speakers will include Dr. Ford and leadership from the Rock Island County NAACP.
