Two Rivers Church is a part of the Illinois Great Rivers Conference.  This conference of the United Methodist Church is created roughly by dividing the state of Illinois along Interstate 80.  Churches south of I-80 are a part of the IGRC.  Churches on the other side of the line are a part of the Northern Illinois Conference.  Bishop Jonathan Keaton presides over the IGRC from his office in Springfield.

Some ministries of the Illinois Great Rivers Conference:

Annual Conference of nearly 1000 United Methodist lay people and clergy every year in Peoria.  This is a time of worship, inspiration, reporting on ministry, and legislative business.

Camping and Retreat Ministries.  There are seven United Methodist Church camps in the conference.  These camps host small group retreats, and large-scale events.  Many leaders and committed disciples of Jesus are identified and trained at our wonderful camps.

Wesley Foundations. Many college campuses have Wesley Foundation ministries.  Staffed with ordained clergy, the Wesley Foundations at these universities provide fertile ground for young adults to develop into their faith.

Liberia and Honduras Partnerships.  These ministry partnerships have produced miraculous fruit over the years.  The partnership in Liberia has seen dozens of building projects, and hundreds of scholarships.  More importantly, it has formed countless relationships between brothers and sisters across cultures.  The Honduras partnership is a relatively new venture, but has already seen much fruit.

Health and Welfare Agencies.  There are 11 agencies that are supported by the IGRC.  These agencies operate in every corner of the state, providing dignified, Christian care to those in need.
