Corey Kilgannon, a singer and songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee, will give a free concert in the sanctuary of Two Rivers United Methodist Church on Friday, February 12 at 7 p.m.
Kilgannon released a set with Daytrotter in July 2015. Daytrotter, formerly in Rock Island, is a popular recording studio, working with up and coming talents and music legends. After hearing one of his songs on Daytrotter, Pastor Robb commented to Corey through twitter. The two connected there, and the idea of a concert was born.
Corey is a part of a growing independent American folk scene. His music, though not explicitly Christian, deals with spiritual elements such as love, loss, faith, and doubt. The stripped-down set will be just him and an acoustic guitar. This is a great chance to meet a rising artist in an intimate setting.
