May is mental health awareness

May is mental health awareness month. It is important for churches and Christians to break the silence surrounding faith and mental illness. God loves people who live with mental illness.

In May Pastor Robb interviewed Sarah Griffith Lund for his podcast. Rev. Dr. Lund is a pastor and author of two books: “Blessed are the Crazy: Breaking the slence about mental illness, family, and the Church.” and “Blessed Union: Breaking the silence about mental illness and marriage.”

You can listen to these two interviews by going to Pulpit Fiction. They talk about the importance of telling stories, being willing to be vulnerable to find healing, and the way that church can be supportive of people’s mental health. Below are several images that can be saved and shared on social media to help break the stigma that surrounds faith and mental health issues.
