Men taking big steps for their mental health

On the second and fourth Thursdays of the month, a group of men will gather at Two Rivers Church at 8:00 p.m. The Big Steppers (sometimes simply called “Guys’ Night”) are men who are willing to share their lives, thoughts, struggles, and joys. It is a time of intentional, guided conversation in a non-judgmental setting. It is a chance for guys to be a little vulnerable, share, and find strength in being together.

The agenda for each evening is simple. Each man is invited, but not required, to share each step along the way:

  • Prayer of Invocation and lighting a candle
  • Check-in
  • Unpacking
  • Celebrations
  • Check-out
  • Prayer of Sending and blowing out the candle

Afterwards, the guys often go to a local establishment to share more informal conversation. The next gatherings will be:

  • January 11
  • January 25
  • February 8
  • February 22
  • March 14
  • March 28 is Maundy Thursday and will not be a Guys’ Night
