Kids and Youth

SUNDAY SCHOOL (10:30-11:45 every Sunday between Labor Day and Memorial Day)  Every Sunday the kids and youth meet in the hall of the 3rd floor for a special time of fellowship.  There are snacks available immediately after worship (usually around 10:30).  At 10:45 the group is split up into 2 class rooms.  The youth in 6th grade and up meet with Pastor Robb in the Youth Room to go over in more detail the scripture of the day.  The kids in grades K-5th go to room #302 for an age appropriate Sunday school lesson.  At 11:15 the groups join together again for some more learning through Worship Arts.

KIDS AND YOUTH Worship Arts (11:15-11:45 every Sunday between Labor Day and Memorial Day) The kids and youth come together for a time to be creative and worship God through the Arts. This time may include singing, acting, puppeteering, playing musical instruments, painting/drawing, etc. Their work that they do during this time is showcase periodically through out the year.

Two Rivers STEAM Games (6:15-7:00 every Wednesday between Labor Day and Memorial Day) Build bridges, program a Shero robot, play UNO, Connect Four, or other fun games, or do homework. This is a time when all the kids are together and can spend time with each other playing games or catching up on homework.

Kids Club (7:00-8:00 every Wednesday between Labor Day and Memorial Day) The kids in grades 1-5 meet in the church nursery.  The first half of the hour is spent in devotion using the Upper Room’s Pockets monthly devotional books .  The second half hour is spent playing games.

TRY (7:00-8:00 every Wednesday between Labor Day and Memorial Day) The youth in grades 6-12 meet upstairs in the youth room.  The first half of the hour is discussion, group building and Bible study.  The second half hour is games.

TRY Late Night – Every so often, the Two Rivers Youth gather at church for fun, games, and discussion.  These events usually last from 7:00-11:00 p.m.  This time frame gives the youth a chance to play lock-in games like hide-and-seek, but with the added benefit of being able to sleep in their own beds.

TRY Retreats – TRY Retreats are usually at Camp Milan Retreat Center. Just a 15 minute drive from the church, Camp Milan is a perfect place for a short getaway. With two wings of bunks, a large dining hall, full commercial kitchen, recreation room, and 9 acres of green space and woods, Camp Milan is perfect for a weekend away without a long drive. TRY Retreats are usually about 24 hours, from Friday evening until Saturday. The next TRY Retreat will be in the Fall of 2017. Dates TBA.
