Robb McCoy was appointed to serve at Two Rivers Church in July, 2014. His wife, Sarah, and two young daughters, Elizabeth and Lucille, are excited to be a part of the Rock Island community.
Pastor Robb is a 2006 graduate of Eden Theological Seminary, and was ordained in the United Methodist Church in 2010. He is the creator of the popular Christian blog “The Fat Pastor,” and is a co-creator and host of “The Pulpit Fiction Podcast.” These two online ministries reach about 20,000 people a month.
A passion for reaching new people with the good news of Jesus Christ comes through in his energetic preaching style. Robb has said often that he lives to preach, teach, and share the sacraments. He believes deeply in the open table of grace, where all are invited to share in the love of a merciful God.
“This is not my table. This is not a United Methodist table. This is Christ’s table, and Christ invites all,” he says on the first Sunday of every month while sharing the Communion meal.
When he’s away from the church, he loves to run, play golf, softball, or volleyball, and listen to live music. You might find him working at any number of local coffee houses in and around the Quad Cities. Make sure you say hi if you do.
