Robb McCoy
Robb (he/him) was appointed to serve at Two Rivers Church in July, 2014. His wife, Sarah, and two daughters, Elizabeth and Lucille, love being a part of the Rock Island community. He is an energetic preacher and teacher who is rooted in Biblical study, social justice, and Wesleyan theology.
Pastor Robb is a 2006 graduate of Eden Theological Seminary, and was ordained in the United Methodist Church in 2010. He is the creator of the popular Christian blog “The Fat Pastor,” and is a co-creator and host of “The Pulpit Fiction Podcast.” These two online ministries have had millions of visitors.
While preaching, he never stays behind the pulpit, and never reads manuscripts. He enjoys creative sermon series like “Gospel According to Broadway,” but also dives deep into the Scriptures, creating a series recently on only one chapter of the book of John. He lives to preach, teach, and share the sacraments. He believes deeply in the open table of grace, where all are invited to share in the love of a merciful God.
“This is not my table. This is not a United Methodist table. This is Christ’s table, and Christ invites all,” he says on the first Sunday of every month while sharing the Communion meal.
When he’s away from the church, he loves to run, golf, softball, or volleyball, and listen to live music. You might find him working at any number of local coffee houses in and around the Quad Cities. Make sure you say hi if you do.
Brianna (she/her) is a lifelong member of the church and has been on staff for twenty years in various positions. If you call during office hours, Brianna will probably be the one to answer the phone. She is a Rock Island High school alumna and now lives in Moline with her family, which includes various animals she cares for. She also does all the booking for Camp Milan Retreat Center.

Madalynn Baez
Maddie (she/her) is our wonderfully talented, exciting and energetic Music Director who began in fall of 2026. She graduated from North Park University with a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance and graduated from Wartburg University with bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Engineering Science. After graduating from Wartburg, she worked for a few years as an engineer and did various performances in the Quad Cities area, but felt called to return to her musical education, so she enrolled at North Park.
Patrons of the Quad Cities Music Guild might remember her from recent productions of Cinderella (2022) and The Wizard of Oz (2023). She was also in La Boheme with Opera Quad Cities. She has been a part of various choirs and ensembles at Wartburg, North Park, and churches. In 2026 she was awarded the prestigious Eileen Deneen Award from The American Opera Society of Chicago.
While she has spent a lot of time in Lutheran institutions of higher education, she is excited about returning to her Methodist roots.
