    Men’s Spiritual Renewal at Prairie Retreat Center

    Sign up now for this wonderful opportunity for a retreat with Pastor Robb and Aubrey Barnes at the Prairie Retreat Center in Wheatland, Iowa on Friday, July 26-27. Take the time to get away to this wondrous, beautiful location that is about a 45 minute drive from Two Rivers Church. The retreat will begin at with registration between 5:00-6:00 p.m. on Friday and officially end at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, but participants can linger on the beautiful grounds if they so choose.

    The retreat will include time for reflection, conversation, and spiritual growth. There will be time spent around a table with other friends, time spent in the beautiful grounds, time spent exploring your own creative nature. There will be room for self-reflection as well as group conversations. This is open to the wider community, but this is also a chance to grow closer to the men of Two Rivers.

    The cost of the retreat is $100. This will include dinner on Friday, breakfast and lunch on Saturday, a journal, and supports the mission of the Prairie Retreat Center. The grounds of the retreat center include a unique “Cosmic Walk” through the prairie as a guided tour through 8 billion years of Creation. There is also a beautiful natural labyrinth, which Pastor Robb will teach you about during the retreat.

  • Allied Youth Retreat

    Allied Youth Retreat

    November 3-4 is our first Allied Youth Retreat at Camp Milan Retreat Center. This short-term event will start at 6:00 p.m. on Friday and end at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Allied Youth is a cooperation of four different Quad Cities area churches who are dedicated to sharing the inclusive love of Christ with all young people. We affirm the gender expression of all youth and affirm the sacred worth of all people.

    Youth Retreat at Camp Milan

    20-Hour YAROn April 22-23, Camp Milan Retreat Center will host the 2nd 20-Hour YAR (Youth Annual Retreat). This event is sponsored by the Illinois Great Rivers Conference Camping Ministries. All youth in grades 7-12 are invited to this 20-hour retreat.

    Two Rivers Youth (TRY) will have an overnight retreat at Camp Milan on February 20-21. The youth will meet at Two Rivers at 7:00 p.m. to attend the Simpson College Choir Concert. After the concert, Pastor Robb and Brianna Pollock will provide rides to the youth to Camp Milan. All youth involved will need to fill out a special permission form for purpose of getting a ride, and staying overnight at Camp Milan.

    The retreat will include games, food, devotions, and time for reflection. Youth need to bring their own bedding and toiletries. Outdoor activities will be dependent on the weather. The youth will be brought back to Two Rivers on Saturday evening. The details of the weekend will be available soon.

    Volunteers are needed. We are need of one more woman adult who can stay overnight. We are also in need of help with breakfast and lunch on Saturday. If you are interested in helping out with the retreat, please contact the church office as soon as possible.

    All youth at this event must have permission release form signed by their parent/guardian. All youth must RSVP either by going to the Facebook link above or by calling the church office at 309-788-9384. We need to know how many youth are coming so that we have the proper amount of chaperones, rides, and food.
