November 3-4 is our first Allied Youth Retreat at Camp Milan Retreat Center. This short-term event will start at 6:00 p.m. on Friday and end at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Allied Youth is a cooperation of four different Quad Cities area churches who are dedicated to sharing the inclusive love of Christ with all young people. We affirm the gender expression of all youth and affirm the sacred worth of all people.

The theme of the retreat will be gratitude. We will focus on the power of gratitude, and ways that we can cultivate a life of gratitude. There will be a campfire on Friday night and a nature walk through the woods on Saturday morning (unless it is actively raining), so bring clothes and shoes that can get dirty. Camp Milan bedrooms sleep eight people in four bunk beds per room. Room assignments will be made by the adult leaders. The beds are new mattresses, but all bedding, towels, toiletries should be brought by the youth.
