The Silver Season of the Lenten Concert Series is one to remember. Featuring a wide variety of music, these concerts are free to the public. Every Wednesday at noon in Lent, there will be a wonderful display of music and Spirit.
February 17 – Richard Bruxvoort Colligan. Richard appeared at the 2015 Lion and Lamb Festival, and is a regular on Pastor Robb’s Pulpit Fiction Podcast. He is an independent folk singer from Strawberry Point, Iowa who has a deep love for the Psalms.
February 24 – Edgar Crockett and David Holcomb. This jazz duo is well known in the Quad Cities, and are regular guests at Two Rivers Church. They will also be a part of our worship on Sunday, February 7.
March 2 – The River Music Experience featuring Ellis Kell and Bret Dale. With Ellis and Bret on guitar, RME Ambassadors Nick Vasquez on keyboards, and Terry Hanson on drums, this promises to be an exiciting concert. Their set of American roots music will get everyone involved, toe-tapping, and singing along.
March 9 – The Rock Island High School Chamber Singers. Directed by Scott Voight, these young people are a vocal performance group in high demand. They perform a wide variety of choral literature.
March 16 – Theresa Yarger and Ryan Van Wassenhove. Theresa is the organist at First United Methodist Church in Kewanee. Ryan is her student.
March 23 – Marc Zyle and Benjamin Loeb. Marc is the primary French Horn for the Quad City Symphony Orchestra. Benjamen is a renowned pianist and the Executive Director of the Quad City Symphony Orchestra.
